Essay Contest

The Muay Thai Project partners with select gyms throughout North America to give at-risk youth the chance to train in Muay Thai at no cost. The Muay Thai Project works with gyms and their local communities to locate youth that have an interest in studying Muay Thai but may not have the means to do so.

Through the program, select youth participate in essay contests with the winner receiving a six month membership to one of the Muay Thai Project’s partner gyms. The Muay Thai Project will cover the cost of membership to that gym, relieving the financial stress that comes along with putting a child through training. The child’s progress will be tracked through communications between parents, trainers, and the Muay Thai Project. Sponsored children are expected to not only progress in Muay Thai, but also in school and in their communities. If the child is progressing then it may be possible to lengthen the term of the sponsorship.

If you are a gym owner and would like more information about partnering up with the Muay Thai Project, or you would like to learn more about how you can help, please send an email to radiomuaythai@gmail.com.
