The Muaythai Preservation Project has partnered up with Crom Martial Training in Rockaway Beach, NY. Through the partnership, the MPP is holding an essay contest with one winner receiving a paid six month membership to Crom Martial Training’s Muaythai program.

The contest was opened to underprivileged youth in the Rockaway Beach area in the beginning of April. The contest will run through the month of April and a winner will be selected by May 6th.

During the six month period the child’s progress will be checked through meetings with the child’s parents, local teachers, and Crom Martial Training. If the child shows progress in areas of school and community, as well as Muaythai, then a continued sponsorship may be awarded.

Over the next few months the MPP will be working with gyms in both New Jersey and California to offer similar programs.
